AI Agent

An AI agent is a software system that uses artificial intelligence to perform tasks, make decisions, or take actions toward a defined goal.

AI agents may interact with applications, APIs, databases, files, communication tools, and other AI systems. They can be used for tasks such as customer support, software development, research, data analysis, or workflow automation.

Some AI agents simply assist a user, while others can operate with greater autonomy and execute multiple steps without continuous human input.
