UK to Reform Data Protection Rules

Feeling less connected to the EU economy after Brexit, the UK will look to reinvest in its data economy through the Data Use and Access Bill”(DUA), estimating it could boost the U.K. economy by as much as £10 billion by "unlocking major public sector efficiency savings" from streamlining the rules for sharing information across critical domains such as healthcare and law enforcement.
With the UK's GDPR adequacy decision for international data flows coming up for review in 2025, now is the time for the country to put a heightened focus on data protection and security.
